From 11-24 May it’s Foster Care Fortnight organised by The Fostering Network. This year’s central theme is‘This Is Fostering’ to help provide an authentic picture of people involved in fostering.
In the latest blog from Ofsted: developments in children’s social care, Yvette Stanley, National Director for Regulation and Social Care, talks about the invaluable work of foster carers.
Yvette says: ‘Times like these can bring out the best in us. Many unsung heroes have come to the fore in recent weeks. As we arrive at Foster Care Fortnight, I want to focus on foster carers. Up and down the country, foster carers are helping to keep the most vulnerable children safe and settled during these truly exceptional times.’

We’re recruiting foster carers
The role of a professional foster carer is about helping a fostered child or young person to flourish and develop to their full potential.
We provide foster families for children and young people across South London including Croydon, Greenwich, Lewisham and Southwark. We offer short term and long term foster care placements as well as local authority referrals. We’re also currently recruiting for foster carers including for unaccompanied asylum-seeking children within South London.
Why not become a superhero? Become a foster carer. Either call on 020 8313 3304 or fill out our contact form to start your foster application and we’ll get back in touch to talk about the assessment process.
