As an independent fostering agency, we get referrals from many local authorities who are looking for fostering placements for their children in care.
In the UK at the moment there are about 83,000 children who need a foster carer.
Every 22 minutes a child becomes looked after by their local authority because of concerns about their wellbeing or safety.
We have a very close working relationship with many local authorities and we work together to find the best carers for children, carers who can meet a child’s individual needs.
Together with the local authority social workers we try to help children and young people achieve the best possible outcomes and reach their own individual potential. Having a safe and secure home gives children the opportunity to grow.
The partnership with the local authority is critical in working towards a brighter future for children who have already experienced disadvantage, discrimination and abuse.
